when we were young and played in the field, we used to find small sticks and cut them down so they had a Y shape at the ends. we used our sticks to catch snakes.

i should make a mythology-for-kids type book. with hip teen versions of jesus and the buddha dealing with their highschool dramas. thor would be the badass from a troubled household. clearly, poseidon would be captain of the varsity swim team.
